Are We Missing Something? Yes!

For anyone who didn't know, wearing a face-covering, reportedly to prevent the spread of COVID-19, was the focus of many conversations on social media for some of the spring and early summer months in 2020. As EVERYONE who participated in those conversations will attest, it was a hot and controversial topic!! It was something that an either loud or fairly large amount of people had strong feelings against! And a fairly loud and large group of people felt strongly for! They say that everyone wearing masks is something "small" that people can do to help prevent the spread. But anyone who was and is able to step back and mediate, or have a bird's eye view, is able to see how it is not a "small" thing to those people against it, and also why the one promoting mask-wearing feels passionate about the practice.

I just want to point out here though... That I see a lot of people with either one of these perspectives giving in, caving in, to the all-new and famous "narrative" (meaning believing what the mainstream media and government are telling us to believe), rather than focusing on these facts:

  • The virus has mutated to a point where it has become less threatening to the general population.

  • It has a 99+% recovery rate if a person gets it

  • Hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax are excellent for prophylaxis and early treatment

  • Most of the people who get it, do not get serious complications from it.

  • Most of the people who die “from” it, actually had other contributors to the cause of death like cancer, diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, or their immune systems were suppressed.

  • Death is as natural a part of life as birth is. (Not that we love to hear of anyone dying of anything.)

  • Vitamin D, C, and Zinc, along with meditation, and regular exercise, staying hydrated, and a diet low in processed food can really boost a person’s health level and immune system, making it hard for any disease to take a toll.

Many people (mostly governments) focused instead on the small amounts of scientific evidence that suggested that MASKS can or may slow the spread of the disease. And because they were HYPER-FOCUSED on it, it became a huge distraction from the DRAWBACKS of mask-wearing, AND the facts listed above. The DRAWBACKS of mask-wearing CAN include:
  • Decreased oxygen intake of the wearer… Which… if we are trying to prevent a disease whose main symptom is shortness of breath, shouldn’t we be allowing our lungs all the oxygen they can get? “When your body doesn't have enough oxygen, you could get hypoxemia or hypoxia. These are dangerous conditions. Without oxygen, your brain, liver, and other organs can be damaged just minutes after symptoms start.” (See: https://www.webmd.com/asthma/guide/hypoxia-hypoxemia)

  • Increased carbon dioxide intake of the wearer. This can cause headaches, panic attacks, confusion, depression, dizziness, drowsiness, excessive fatigue, feeling disoriented, shortness of breath, flushing of the skin, and other more serious things like seizures, paranoia, hyperventilating, irregular heartbeat, muscle twitching, loss of consciousness, and coma. (see https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/320501#causes)

  • Decreased exposure to germs (which, for the immune system, this is like us not exercising, which causes the muscles and body weaken - same would happen to the immune system)

  • Validation of fear of something that really isn’t much bigger of a threat than things we've dealt with in the past… (Things that make you go hmmm…)

  • Cultivating a belief that you are a threat to someone else’s health.

  • Cultivating distrust and mistrust.

  • Cultivating a belief that we are not safe without a mask.

  • Cultivating resentment or hatred towards those who do not buy into the beliefs this move is fostering or promoting.

  • Decreasing the quality of communication one can have in person.

  • Increasing the amount of viruses, mold, and bacteria that we breathe in, considering the ones we breathed out were supposed to be expelled (farther than a few inches) and taken care of by the sun or the earth, but rather stayed in our breathing-back-in reach. Our natural method of cleansing the lungs, and therefore the body, is literally masked, with a mask on.

I could probably go on and on considering I only *barely* touched on the psychological impacts mask-wearing carries… And of course, not everyone will experience the same thing with mask-wearing, but one has to stop and think of what all this really means.

Practically speaking, it means that we are making a pretty risky trade-off.

INSTEAD of allowing our society to get herd immunity by catching a virus that has a 99+% recovery rate, we are (or rather the governments are) cultivating distrust and mistrust, cultivating a belief that YOU are a danger and a threat to someone else’s health, cultivating decreased regular exposure to germs (=less exercise for the immune system), mandating that people put their oxygen levels at risk and increase their carbon dioxide intake levels (which puts the wearer’s health at risk), decrease the quality of in-person communication we are having, and among other things, literally masking our natural way of cleansing the lungs and body.

I can’t help but come to one of the following conclusions:

  • The governments are filled with fear and therefore their decision-making abilities have been greatly compromised.

  • The people are panicking and have demanded - out of fear - more of the government, even at the expense of SO much!

  • The governments are being threatened by someone (above them?) to implement mask mandates for some other purpose.

  • There is SO MUCH MORE to “their” purpose of mandating masks than they are letting on.

  • The virus has an unknown component to it that will somehow be worth avoiding - even at the expense of all the drawbacks above. (I really pray that it's not this one!)

  • The people mandating these things are doing it for the purpose of making us want to stay home, make grocery trips brief, stop seeing the doctor for every little thing, work on getting rid of co-morbidities, and perhaps they want us to stop driving so much... and they may even be doing it for the purpose of making us sicker (I REALLY HOPE I'M NOT RIGHT ABOUT THAT!), and more hidden purposes.

  • Considering the documents (which you need to read!) “A World At Risk” put out by the World Health Organization, AND the “International Health Regulations” (also found there), this whole mask bit could be what "they" decided on long ago to make sure we are being obedient to government officials and "really preventing" disease. This whole thing looks to be either only a drill, or maybe that plus a method of changing the world "for the better" or "for the good of the whole". The mask-wearing could be a "mask", if you will, for what is really going on. Go read the documents. Note the extreme open-ended-ness and lack of specifications in the IHR. Note the possibilities that are left open to the World Health Assembly for the regime to do basically whatever they want when there is a "public health risk" (such as the kind of risks mentioned at the beginning of the world at risk doc). And note the very clear focus in the "A World at Risk" doc on a tighter top-down government. Note the very clear understanding that the WHO had and has that the poor would be hit the hardest with this. Note the financial goals and readiness markers they have in that document! Note the readiness markers on page 10.

This is not only about a virus. I think that is becoming more and more clear to even the most believing of "the narrative". The "conspiracy theorists" have been right so far... Maybe it's time to do some more in-depth research into why society is doing what they are doing.

One thing's for sure. We will need someone bigger than all of us to save us from what has been started with all of this COVID-19 business. I am grateful to know who that is and to have the opportunity to know Him and testify of Him. Jehovah, Messiah, Jesus Christ... Many names for Him... I like Savior for this purpose. I love "Advocate with the Father" as well. He is the one we need to be looking to for help with preventing the many diseases and plagues that are afoot in our day. Though a mask may help us somehow, or in some times and places, it will not save us, nor will it heal us. But Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world, will. It takes us asking and coming to Him, though.
Fortunately, we can seek Him out and find Him. We can pray to God when we lack peace, clarity or wisdom and listen for His still, small voice in our hearts. Fortunately, God is not republican or democrat, a dictator or a politician, but He is the advocate for YOU in YOUR trials and troubles. Fortunately, when we ask in faith, God gives us what we ask for. Fortunately, we have so many of God's words and messages in the holy scriptures. And fortunately, we can get our own messages directly from God, because he cares THAT much about us and the circumstances we are in. We don't need to wait for Him to come in order to talk to Him. We can get to know Him through the scriptures, and talk with Him in prayer. We can notice the miracles that are happening every day. We can pray for miracles to happen every day! We can pray that we won't have to wear masks! We can pray that people's fears will be dissolved and that people's faith or outlook on life will improve.
We can be kind, compassionate, and helpful. We can learn new things. We can allow Christ to calm our storms. And He will. It just takes us looking to Him and asking for it.

Transition

We now live in a time so close to the second coming of Jesus Christ, the Savior of the World, that we are crying and asking for it with sincerity of heart. There is so much contention, political and economic upheaval (a violent or sudden change or disruption to something), and it is affecting all of us! Peace and balance seem like rare treasures that we must put more focus on obtaining, guarding, and keeping.

I'm a birth worker. I help women in labor. The Bible tells us that this time shall be as a woman in travail. I see where we are in that process. We are most certainly in a time of transition, and have been for a few years I think. I believe that our spiritual journeys (labors) are personal and that our paths can all be different and still lead to the same place: Happiness and bliss, basking in the light of the love of Elohim (plural: male and female). The Divine Whole.

But here, I will tell you some similarities I see in most laboring women when they are transitioning from active labor to pushing (or breathing) the baby out of her womb. See if these traits and qualities match up with how you observe yourself or other people feeling and acting today.

  • They all seem to get into a way of handling things that they have either practiced before with a birth prep mentor, or have never practiced before and are just doing the best they can with what they have. Sometimes this looks like panic, screaming, crying, anger, blame, demanding, praying…

  • Most do not like to change positions very often, but they need to in order to keep progressing comfortably, even though the initial change of position is not comfortable or easy to make.

  • Most will make a lot of noise. And rightly so. This is definitely (IMO) ALMOST ALWAYS the hardest part of labor.

  • When they are properly supported (with affirmations of love, trust in God and the divinely created process, and that they are doing their best) women in transition seem to progress more comfortably and even more quickly. Though labor still does get more intense, they know they can rely on their support people who are there for them and cheering them on.

  • They will get quite sad and irritable or even angry if someone tells them to do anything contrary to what is working for them right now. In fact sometimes the support people need to get extra supportive during those moments in supporting the mom with what she knows is best for her body and her baby. Sometimes this takes some creativity and working with the flow and groove the woman is currently experiencing.

  • A woman in transition who tunes out the noise of the world, to tune into her body and go deep within to find her inner guidance system transitions more calmly, safely, and more quickly.

  • Labor, in general, is filled with surges of intensity, followed by restful periods of time. During transition however, the surges of intensity get more intense and last longer, and the periods of restful time in between get shorter in duration.

  • The highest priority for a woman in transition is to breathe and relax during the intense surges (or periods of time).

  • Some women feel like holding their breath during contractions in transition, but this only limits the health of the baby and the mom, as oxygen is necessary and vital to life. Think "The breath of Life"...

  • The less oxygen the mom gets because of panic, the more intervention she will need, if available. If interventions are not available, she will not get all the oxygen she needs and therefore not function top notch. The baby as well, will not be getting all the oxygen it needs to function well right after birth.

  • All women in transition are very sensitive. Anybody allowed in their space needs to honor them and their space by making it all about them and supporting them in the ways they need support; easy to digest nourishment, including water or something with electrolytes in it that can help the nervous system function better.

  • If a woman senses that there is a threat to her peaceful environment, it can impede progress or put the woman on edge. Fear will inhibit progress.

  • There comes a point in time where many women in transition don't know what they need and it really is hard to not panic even if they have prepared beforehand. But, once again the space and the laboring woman need to be honored and respected in whatever suggestions are given to help.

  • Getting rid of waste during transition is sometimes very uncomfortable, or hard to remember to do. However, doing so will make the labor easier.

  • Often in later transition, women may burst out things that seem quite rude. Sometimes the person they were yelling at said something with good intentions, but it was not what the laboring woman needed. Usually this doesn't mean that the woman doesn't like the person, it just means they weren't being helpful in her labor.

  • A lot of times it helps for the laboring woman to remember what she's working so hard for. To remember that she is bringing into the world a new human life, a piece of heaven, that she will get to serve and take care of, and love and admire.

  • Most laboring women in transition need, or at least very much appreciate, continuous love and appropriate support from their husbands.

  • When a laboring woman addresses fears with a mentor that she trusts, and is able to trade her fears for trust, love and faith, then peace, safety, and reassurance follow and her labor can progress more easily and gently.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. We are a society of "laboring women in transition". We have intense waves followed by somewhat mild periods of rest… followed by a more intensive wave, and then a less lengthy period of time where we get to rest. We need support that focuses around us. We need support from our "Husband". We need to address our fears with the Wonderful Counselor, who can replace them with faith. We need easily digestible nourishment (or gentle nudges and advice that first affirms to us that we are doing or best - scriptures are great for this). This goes for both the BODY AND SOUL. If we have prepared beforehand, we are probably fairing a lot better than those who have not. Those who have not prepared beforehand are most likely panicking, especially if they don't have a support system, or they have not been taught to see/acknowledge it. We can support these people by giving them what they need, such as a quiet environment, good and simple nourishment, and surrounding them with affirmations of love. We are all going to be a little more stuck in our ways than we usually are and it is going to be harder to change our positions on things or encourage others to do so, even when doing so would help us labor more comfortably or effectively. Same with getting rid of what we don't need anymore. It can be really undesirable to release waste -  things that are getting in the way of our progress and comfort. But it is only helpful when we are able to do so. We are making a lot of noise, which is totally normal when something is really hard. It even helps us deal better with it! Sometimes we have no clue what we need or want, or things get confusing. It is then that we reach out to our support people. We need to respect each person as if they were a laboring woman in transition who needs our support and cheering on. We need to remember how sensitive they are right now, how sensitive we are right now. It is so much easier to give or take offense when people are vulnerable and sensitive. We need to tune out the noise of the world, and tune into our inner guidance system. We need to make it our highest priority to breathe deeply and with great focus on relaxing and allowing God's design to work for us, not only during the intense times, but during the restful in between times as well. This helps us preserve our energy for the times it is most needed.

We need to remember what we are working so hard for. We are working to usher in the second coming of the Savior of the World, a piece of heaven, whom we will get to serve, admire and take care of.

First 6 Months of 2020 Evaluation

In a Relief Society lesson, I was asked to respond to the following questions. I chose to do so in a blog post.

1. "What significance has the first 6 months of 2020 played in my eternal progression?"
I have had a wonderful year thus far! I have learned many lessons.
The lessons have been difficult.  One lesson I have learned is that it is important for good people to make their voices heard in the community and in the government.
The last six months have been challenging. I have had many chances to pray about what is true and right, where I should be focusing, and what to do or say at particular times. I have learned that I can only help inasmuch as I KNOW how to help, so I need to increase my knowledge because I want to help more. I have learned that my children have their own choices to make. I have learned that I can influence my children for good or evil, destructive, or productive.
Another lesson I have learned is that Satan is more sly and cunning than we supposed him to be. He has been laying up all kinds of plans to divide us from the inside out and from the top down. Seeing the country divide when I was taught that it stood as one nation under God is hard.  To watch the crimes that have been committed on a government level and on a civilian level has been gut-wrenching.
What is the significance of all of this in my eternal progression? I believe that prophets have been preparing us for this past six months for the last 100 years! There have been so many tender mercies. I know that one of them is that God told me to homeschool my children sometimes. This has prepared me for the spring we just had with the kids at home, as well as helped me be able to help other people. It has also put me in a place where I could hear presenters talk about these times as prophesied years ago by latter-day prophets! We've always known - since the days of Isaiah and Jesus that the last days would be hard and that we need to put on the whole armor of God, and our beautiful garments and go and meet the bridegroom. What does that look like? I believe that this looks like testifying. Also a lot of service. I believe that I should pray for a clearer vision of what this looks like.
This past 6 months has played a crucial role in my eternal progression! I feel like this is what I am here for.

2. "When difficulties and challenges arise, how do I respond?"
I respond with a sorrowful heart. I have also responded with prayer and humility, or defensiveness and anger. I have found this time to be extremely sensitive for the majority of people and I am no different here. Sometimes my head hurts or my stomach hurts, and I lack clarity... which reminds me that I need to be praying like all the time!! And so...
I have a hard time, though, balancing all of what is going on with being a parent, and a good person all around; a good wife, daughter, sister, and friend.
Sometimes I respond to challenges and difficulties by "freezing" or wasting time. I have found that my usual time wasters, though, are causing some of these challenges and difficulties. It reminds me of the tactic of the Lamanites when they attacked the Nephites in their places of resort. The things and places that they would "resort" to. Which for me, has been social media or google, or fact-checking, or my family and friends. I have seen many temptations in my dealings with all of these. Facts are not nearly as easy to check as they used to be since google has joined a biased agenda (and so will also only show me what they want me to see when I am just surfing) and I don't think I need to explain social media being a problem... That is where most of the contention is getting heated in my opinion.
So, how have I responded to my places of resort being attacked? With fortifying activities such as resting elsewhere like in the scriptures, testifying, prayer, meditation, and journaling. Yoga and other self-care activities have also been a resource of strength for my spirit; focusing on feeding my body food that edifies, drinking enough water, taking nutritional supplements, and fasting.
I also have overcome difficulties and challenges by remembering that my Jesus has saved me before, from my depths of captivity and sorrow. He has delivered me from the pain of infection, and childbirth. He has delivered me from the captivity of lies and deception when I have turned to him for help. And he has empowered me with His infinite love and through His atonement. My patriarchal blessing has also been a safe and fortifying place.

3. "We are nearly 6 months into the Come Follow Me curriculum, how am I applying or utilizing this resource?"
I have been liking the Come Follow me as a guide and resource for holding to the rod. We have utilized it in our family scripture study. It has been very helpful in guiding us through the scriptures in a more thoughtful way. I am sad to say that I have not been using it as much as an individual reference for my personal scriptures study. I hope to make changes there with that. I do read scriptures, but it's sometimes hard for to stay focused on a certain book or topic. Sometimes I have better purpose and focus if I use the CFM manual to guide me.

Of Snakes, Nations, and Sons

We found a rattlesnake in our yard yesterday. Luckily, I have a son who knew how to help! Satan is like this rattlesnake, sneaking into our space, ever so slyly ready at any moment to strike not only FEAR but poison into our blood if we get too close to him. As I have studied about the conspiracies that are possibly playing out, I have recently noticed that the biggest one is Satan's conspiracy against the children of God. The peacemakers. The people who try to do everything they are supposed to do without complaining or arguing. As I have watched (and sometimes participated in) the bickering back and forth between good people over a piece of cloth and what it can and cannot do, and how they have let it drive them apart or bring them together, and the very strange relatively new behaviors of the government, YouTube and FB of not trusting people to make their own decisions about information presented and precautions to take, and not only people not trusting professionals (for various reasons) but professionals not trusting professionals and not even being willing to look unbiased into the other's point of view, etc..., my heart has been what I think is called "overcharged" in the scriptures. So many things happening so quickly, and emotions all over the place for so many. "Take heed to yourself, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting... and the day come upon you unawares." (Luke chapter 21) What is surfeiting? It is getting so much of something that you can't stand to have it anymore. Sound familiar?
I have thought about the night that I watched the State of the Union Address. The contention present there was so thick you could cut it. The sharp division that was so plain to see and the biases and rudeness that one could easily observe as well... "A house divided against itself cannot stand" is the phrase that came to my mind. A minute later my 6 year old son said, "Mom, How can this house even stay built?" I told him by loving each other. We are witnessing what happens when a nation is not united. Satan has crafted this plan and crept into our space as a people who were and are supposed to be one nation under God. And he has struck fear into a lot of people's hearts. Some have been poisoned as well. This is sad, to say the very least.
"Take heed to yourselves"... As I read that, I wondered what it meant and the spirit told me, for me, it meant to take good care of myself. My husband, my home, my children, and others all need me to take care of me so that I can take care of them and help them when they need it. I came across an article this morning (linked at the end) and quite loved it! The Holy Spirit told me to share it. My prayer right now is that all of us can take good care of our selves, our families, and our neighbors, remembering the 1st and second great commandments, and what true religion is. James 1:27 "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."
In conclusion, I thought of the symbolism of my son fixing our snake problem. It reminded me of The Son of God being The Solution to the "serpent" problem we are facing today. John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
Here is the article.

One of The Most Valuable Adult Lessons I Ever Learned

When I was pregnant with my second baby, I took a refresher childbirth course. This wasn't just any old birth class though. This was a class meant to really get you thinking for yourself and reaching inside for hidden knowledge that would help you make wise choices for yourself and your baby. The instructor gave us all kinds of information on options for birthing. But she didn't expect us to take her word for it. In fact, she made it very clear that she encourages clients to do their own research on the things she presents. She also recommended that we pray about our birth choices.
This "do your own research" thing stuck. It really has made a huge difference in my life too.
Back in my high school days and the early part of this century, we had to find resources in an actual library.
Nowadays, there is a wealth of information online.
But let's pretend that we were back in high school and could only find resources at the library. And let's pretend that there was someone you didn't know going around the library with you, and just before you could grab a book you needed for your research paper, that person grabbed it first. Maybe you were lucky to get a couple of books off the shelf before him, but then he takes them from you a day or two later. And let's pretend that this person had a friend who worked at the library... The library employee also actually hindered your research by altering some of the pages in the encyclopedia or biography you needed for your research paper. And let's pretend that both of these people are actually telling you that it's for your own good. That they are denying you your research opportunities. They say that the information in the original was messed up, so they changed it or just took it away so that you couldn't see it.
What would you do? What would you say?
And what if you aren't able to get any resources... what then? How will you ever get your research paper finished on time?
We can either say "Thanks!" or we can start asking questions like "Is there other material I can look at?" "How do you know the information is not accurate?" "Can you please direct me to those sources?"
These questions should help. If you can't get satisfactory answers to your questions, though, or if they keep taking the resources you find, would you feel like going back to that library EVER again?
If it were me, I would feel like I was being treated like a child, and being bullied, and I'd probably get defensive. Granted, I may say thanks if I find that they are saving me from having to filter through a bunch of lies, but how would I know that without reviewing the material?
I can pray.
Prayer works on a spiritual level...
Spirit does not have the limitations of a human body and knows so much more than we can comprehend. But we can tap into that knowledge with prayer. Addressing the Almighty God, the author of all truth, and asking for Him to give you answers is one very powerful way to get answers.
In the mean time, finding a different library is going to be in everyone's best interest, in my humble opinion.

I Have An Idea

I have an idea.
The states somehow think they have power over businesses...
Maybe they do. Maybe they don't.
From what I understand it just depends on how big the crisis really is.
But even that information is subjective and I think we all know by now there's a lot more than just that going on.

But what if we ditch the business front of things and we start just providing? How about we bring back bartering and trading?

You have chickens, I need chickens.
You have stress. I have foot zoning skills.

You have barber skills... I need a haircut.
You need food... I just so happen to have some tomatoes that I grew this year... Or bottled last year.

I have some savings... You need to pay your mortgage.
I need some help with my yard... You've got an able body and a lawn mower.

You need help for a health problem... I have home remedy knowledge and supplies.
I need tutoring for my child... You have great skills in that area.

You get the picture right?

This might just be the only way to get through this whole thing.

The Only-Positive-Things Challenge!

Hey!
Throughout the years I have come to know that there is wisdom in keeping on the sunny side of life. I'm actually not the first one to realize this, though... Millions and most likely billions of people have learned this truth. Dark attracts dark and light attracts light... right?
Dark drags and causes contention, Light inspires and lifts. Be the change you want to see in the world... RIGHT NOW!

Here's the challenge!

Post ONLY POSITIVE content on your social media accounts for the next two weeks. If you want to see people lifted and lifting each other, be the lifter. It could be anything positive! How have you seen the hand of God (LOVE) in your life? Share it! Did you learn something from your inspired reading today? Share it! Do you see something good and special in someone? Share it and tag them!
I challenge you to do this when commenting on other people's social media posts as well. Especially on the ones that need a lift. Share a compliment, random positive fact, or statement of faith... just whatever you feel is positive meriting attention right now. With all your positive posts and comments, use the hashtags #sunnyside or #onlypositivethings.
AND
If you feel the need to address a specific fallacy (a belief or statement based on unsound argument) floating around, do a research paper on the subject, write an essay, or blog post.
Rules:
1. Find original sources whenever possible and tell why they are credible.
2. Tell the other side of the story with respect. Use credible sources as stated above. If sources are indicated in the fallacy you are addressing, provide some background or evidence stating why you are convinced that these sources were either misinterpreted or not credible.
3. Write with simplicity and kindness.
4. Try to keep in under 1,000 words.
5. Be sure to cite all sources either in an attachable document or, in a blog post, create links throughout or put sources at the bottom.
6. Attach at least 1 picture onto your post/research document.
7. Share your work on social media with the hashtags #freedomofconscienceissacred or #protectfreedom and tag at least 5 friends in the post.

If by some chance your post is removed, email it to your circle of family and friends and tell them to share it through email as well.
The more sunshine we spread the more everyone can see their way.

To accept this CHALLENGE, simply begin and/or make a video telling: 1) about the challenge, 2) why you are accepting the challenge/invitation, 3) linking this blog post, and 4) nominating 3 friends to take the challenge as well!

HAPPY LIFTING!!!!
